The Jamaica Organization of New Jersey (JON-J), a 501(C) 3 nonprofit organization with dual purpose of building and strengthening ties among people of Jamaican heritage in communities across New Jersey and to serve as a resource to give back to our homeland. comprised of six chapters across the state. Although our membership primarily consists of Jamaican nationals, our events are opened to all regardless of race and ethnicity
The mission of JON-J is to empower Jamaicans and their descendants residing in New Jersey to maintain a cultural identity within the community; establish relationships within the business, civic, educational, religious and international communities; promote recreational activities; and assist in the development and improvement of community related projects in Jamaica and New Jersey.
A place where Caribbean residents and new immigrants may settle and live in health and prosperity. Providing necessary resources to realizing that goal.
